Dr. Carol Eisenhut has been with DCL pathologists since 1990 as a Cytopathologist, Laboratory Director, and Company President. She attended Indiana University School of Medicine and pursued her residency in Pathology at Indiana University Medical Center.

She has a subspecialty in cytopathology and has an MBA from Indiana University Kelley School of Business. Dr. Eisenhut is board certified in anatomic and clinical pathology as well as in cytopathology. She is a fellow of the College of American Pathology (CAP) and the American Society of Cytopathology (ASCP). She serves as the committee chair for educational products for cytology for the ASCP. She is also a member of the American Society of Cytopathology (ASC).

Dr. Eisenhut’s professional interests include fine needle biopsy (FNA), women’s health, quality improvement, clinical trials consultation, and molecular pathology / oncology. She has been involved with publications on women’s health including selective estrogen receptor modulator therapies in post-menopausal women, liquid based pap tests and laboratory tests for sexually transmitted infections.

She grew up in Louisville, KY, but she has made Indianapolis her home since 1981. She is married with three adult children. She enjoys cooking, gardening, and hiking in her free time.
