After completing her undergraduate education at Wellesley College in Massachusetts, she attended the University of Cincinnati School Of Medicine in Ohio, and then trained in Internal Medicine at Indiana University Medical Center.

After several years of practice as an Internist and Rheumatologist, Dr. Middleton found her calling in Cytopathology. She has fulfilled the requirements for the Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU), an AACE sponsored program, and holds a Certificate of Special Expertise in Ultrasound Guided Fine Needle Aspiration from the CAP. She truly appreciates the time she is able to spend with patients each day.

Dr. Middleton was born in England and spent her formative years in Canada and several states in the U.S., but Indianapolis has been her home since 1980. She is married with two grown children and one very fuzzy cat. She is active in her church choir and is a member of the church board. She enjoys gardening, hiking, kayaking, dancing, and snow.
